A Kitchen Organization Hack to Maximize Cabinet Space
The first time I knew I had a knack for organizing was almost 10+ years ago. I was still living at home with my mom and there was one particular space in the home that just kept driving me crazy. We had a kitchen pantry where we stored our pots and pans but there was no organized system. So, I was always struggling to find the matching lid to a pot. After being frustrated by the lack of organization, I knew I had to find a solution. So, I went to Walmart, bought an inexpensive 3-tier cart on wheels, assembled the cart at home, and organized the pots and pans. Done!
When I was done, I felt a sense of relief and there was no more frustration. I could go into the pantry, grab what I needed with ease and without becoming frustrated. So, when I organized this particular cabinet space filled with pots, pans, and lids - it reminded me of my first time really organizing a space and recognizing and accepting that I have a true gift. Such a full circle moment!
Now instead of using a cart to organize pots and pans, I used a simple organization hack to maximize space within a cabinet is using a magazine holder & plate divider. That's right - a magazine holder is not only reserved for storing magazines.
The space was semi-organized beforehand but there were no defined spaces with pots, lids, and aluminum foil and plastic Ziploc bags. So, my end goal was to create a space where every item had their own specific storage space and I could continue to grab a lid or a pot with ease.
